This is my self-produced debut solo album. Released to the public on all digital platforms on April 3rd of 2023.

Now Let me tell you about the genesis of this record. I started recording demos about 3 years ago and the album has pretty much been finished for about 2 years. Why did I sit on it for this long? Well to be honest those songs are the demos. I had big dreams of grandeur, I wanted to go into a real nice studio and make a big record. I wanted it to have big orchestrations, strings and keys and big vocal arrangements, I wanted to make a Spector-esque record. Well this didn’t happen.
Money, covid, day job, procrastination, periods of doubt, I almost gave up at one point, I even thought of stopping making music.

Eventually I came to my senses, and the music industry being what it is today, I thought « fuck it » and decided to self release the demos and make it the album. I had to do it if only for my own sanity, I had to get those songs out of my system so I can turn the page and keep going forward. I wrote about 30 songs in that time period and the album I’m presenting to you are in my opinion the 10 strongest numbers I had, and that made sense all together as a whole. Today it makes total sense to be releasing those songs as they are because they are the testimony of a chapter of my life, they’re raw and were recorded very spontaneously with very minimal equipment.

I wrote everything and am playing all the instruments and sang all the vocals for the exception of the drums on 4 of the tracks that was performed by my friend Kenny Smith who is an incredible drummer. Those 4 drum tracks he played were recorded by my good buddy Jo Gagné. Everything else I recorded myself at home or at my practice space. My dear friend Adrien D’Haese also laid down some piano parts on a couple of songs as well as being a precious moral support when I needed it. He also took the album cover photo, it was the only photo taken that night and i immediately decided it would be the album cover.

I guess I can say this album is a true labor of love, I’m very proud of those songs and I hope you all will appreciate them for what they are.
